Die Protagonistin unseres Dokumentarfilms, Fania Brancovskaja, wird am heutigen Tage 91 Jahre alt. Wir haben gerade mit ihr telefoniert und sie zu unserer Freude bei bester Laune und guter Gesundheit angetroffen.
Wir hoffen, sie noch in diesem Sommer wieder zu sehen. Obwohl sie nach eigener Auskunft bereits "stark vernommen" ist - denn sie wird wieder Kurse in Jiddischer Sprache und Literatur an der Sommer-Universität in Vilnius geben.

The protagonist of our documentary, Fania Brancovskaya, turns 91 years today. We have just spoken to her on the phone. To our great joy we found her in cheerful spirits and good health.
We hope to see her again this summer. Although she will be "very busy" (or "shtark farnumen" as she put it in Yiddish) - as she will be again giving classes in Yiddish language and literature at the Vilnius Summer University.
